Hey howdy. You can call me techi. I’ve been a longtime train fan, ever since I was a little kid. I got into the game not that long ago, not even knowing there would be an update, but have been playing it obsessively the past couple weeks. I’m looking to help players and asset creators by taking requests for programming tasks. I’m experienced with C, Java, and Swift, and as of writing this I have the Relay documentation up in another tab. Feel free to shoot me a DM if you need anything!

Hi. Im from Germany. Got into American railroading via this game. Made me join the opsig and strongly considering in building an American themed model railroad here. This idea is binned, but the joy bout railroader is still strong!

Hello again everyone! My name is Adam and I have been playing Railroader since day one. I’ll be honest with all of you the experience was starting to get a bit stale for me so I stepped away for a little while, but with this update I hope to get back to the roots of what makes Railroader great in the first place and truly enjoy the game in many new ways in a brand new light. I’m greatly looking forward to all the mods that will be made with the new features!

I grew up on this track in the Alarka, Robinson Gap area and fell in love with the very Southern trains that ran this route every day as a kid. I have been playing for 300 hours. Love the game but it was getting stale so I took a break. Very excited to start over :upside_down_face: LOL. But seriously, looking forward to an enhanced experience playing a game that i can relate to as a kid. Thanks to the developers for the work you put forth.

Bullethead here. Showed up occasionally on Steam discussions and the Railroader Discord, mostly asking for help and reading the Steam guides. The community has always been great but I got into Railroader right after Modloader and Strange Customs went away, so I have never played with mods. Got 150-odd hours in the pre-0.6 version. At the time, I was on extended medical leave with a depressing diagnosis so Railroader was my Zen garden and I never wanted to get too wild with it. I just ran from East Whittier to Alarka and I began to feel that Alarka was a bridge to far. The engine shed at the end of the line was nice but the copper mines never amounted to much.

I’m looking forward to starting over but, before I do that, I wanted to play with the play with the map editor, trying to reconstruct the LONG dead but historically significant railroads out in my neck of the woods. I got the experimental update today about 25 minutes after it dropped and didn’t look up from playing with the map editor until 6 hours later. No food, no drink, no bathroom breaks, just total concentration and then suddenly wondering why I was starving, in dire need of a bathroom break, and WAY too sober for that time of day  I’ve gotten to where I can pretty competently lay track including switches, Ys, and engine sheds, add more map when I reach the edge of the initially small starting space, and that’s about it. Making new maps is WORK, y’all.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to a more accessible community here with a proper forum vs. Steam and Discord. Happy railroading!
